1. How can I be sure the entries are correctly introduced?
The time when an entry was introduced it is saved in the database and using this information someone can compare when the entry was introduced and when user stated to introduce the entry. For example, if an user adds an entry for the interval 10:00 - 14:00, but enters the entry at 16:23 instead of 10:00 the admin can see the real hour (16:23) for adding that entry. Another useful information that is saved it is the IP address from which an entry was introduced, so an user that introduces information from 'outside the company' it is easy to track. 2. How can I check if an entry was introduce to a certain hour?
Although an user enters an entry starting to a certain hour the time clock software stores the real date and time at which that entry was introduced. For example, if an user adds an entry for the interval 12:12 - 14:50, but enters the entry at 16:00 instead of 12:12 the admin can see the real hour (16:00) for adding that entry. 3. I created an account and I don't know where to start!
Start following this steps:
4. What is the period of time an entry can extend?
An entry can not extend more then 24 hours, the number of hours in a day. If your activity extends more than one day then you can add two entries to count how many hours you have worked. 5. How many types of entries there are?
There are 3 types of entries in the time tracking software:
6. Why I can't add a new entry?
If you already have an entry that is not finished you will not be able to add a new entry in the system. All you have to do is to finish that unfinished entry and then try to add another entry. There is one case when you can add a entry even if you have an unfinished entry. You can add an entry for a day before the current day (in the past). 7.What are the restrictions when adding an entry?
8. An entry must be associated with a task to be valid?
No, an entry must be associated with a project to be valid, association with a task is optional. 9. When and how can someone continue an entry?
The option to continue an entry is available when an entry was finished and user want to continue that entry (for example to continue his activity in another day). A new entry will be created and will be logically related to old entry. The new entry will be created in the current day (not the current day selected in calendar, but the current time). So continuing an entry that was created 5 days ago will not create a new entry 5 days ago, but today. 10. How can an entry be canceled and what entries can be canceled?
Rejecting an entry is made only by an admin. To do that the admin must access the Report for that user for which he wants to cancel an entry. From the list of entries just select to reject a certain entry. Unfinished entries can not be rejected. 11. What will happen with a canceled entry?
The time for that entry will be considered 00:00 and it will no longer be taken into consideration when computing how many hours user was working. 12. What will happen when a entry is deleted?
That entry will no longer be taken into consideration when computing how many hours user was working. There is no way to recuperate a deteled entry. Just add that entry again in the system. 13. Why and who rejected my entry? What that means and what can I do?
Users with admin rights are the only users in the system that can reject entries. They can reject entries if they think something is not correct with that entry. When an entry is rejected the user will be able to see his entry will no longer be taking into account and he will be able to see a reason of rejecting if it was specified by the admin. Best thing to do is to talk to the admin and try to see why your entry was rejected. 14.Where can I see all entries I have added?
You can use Daily tab to see each entry added every day or if you want to see all entries added in one mounth go to Monthly tab. You will see all information you need about an entry there too. 15.What means an entry is unfinished?
An entry is considered to be unfinished if the Finsh time was not specified when adding the entry, so the system can not compute how many hours a user spent to complete a certain task. There is a special icon for marking these entries. 16.What is the plugin?
Plugin is program you install on your PC from where you can start (punch in) and stop (punch out) timesheets for different tasks. 17.What can I do with the plugin?
18.Is plugin necessary to run Time Tracking?
No, it's just a plugin, you can use Time Tracking in a classical web interface. 19.Why use plugin?
